You might not have heard that Kokomo is getting a Prospect League franchise next year. Okay, unless you’re a baseball geek like me, you probably don’t even know that the Prospect League exists. Believe it or not, it’s been around in one form or another since 1963. The league is comprised of college players who still have eligibility left (meaning they don’t get paid) and it is not affiliated with MLB or any of its teams.

Players are trying to hone their skills in order to increase their chances of getting drafted later or just trying to improve for the following collegiate season. Indiana based teams include the Richmond River Dogs and the Terrre Haute Rex. But in 2015, the Kokomo Jackrabbits join the league and look at these unis:


They look exactly like the 1984 San Diego Padres!

They’re getting a new stadium in Kokomo too, so if you’re into visiting new ballparks, I think this will be worth the drive up SR 31.
